Modern technologies in Academy

Within the framework of the TACIS IT.AM special program of technical support initiated by the European Union, the Academy was supplied with modern computer laboratories equipped with the latest types of computers together with all essential accessories as well as an access to the high-speed Internet. More than 150 PCs have been connected to the local Academy web. The Gyumry, Vanadzor and Gavar branches will be connected in the nearest future. The special satellite communication centre which is established in the Academy gives possibility for students to look news, films, popular programs from the european countries during educational process. Modern computing equipment and the latest achievements in the sphere of Information Technologies are becoming more and more available for the students, teachers and administrative staff on the one hand, and serve as the basis and tools for promoting local scientific-methodological and scientific-research projects on the other.

The wins of the faculty in 2008-2009 academic year

Our students have participated in different competitions.

In “Microsoft Imagine cup-Armenia” competition they have taken the second honorable place.

The Annual Educational Awards for the best IT students in Armenia honor students who have the highest grades, are active in social programs, have written scientific papers or articles, and who have comprehensive knowledge and talent. From IT faculty of the EREA honor students are:

• EREA Bachelor Student I category – Anush Kostanyan
• EREA Bachelor Student II category – Syssanna Kalantaryan
• EREA Master Student II category – Raisa Mkrtumyan
• Best Female Student of Armenia – given to Bachelor Student I category Anush Kostanyan.
